Last of the summer garden...end of September, 2020

Still have some eggplant, summer squash, peppers and basil but I don’t think the remaining tomatoes are going to ripen. Guess it’s time for fried green tomatoes and roasted green tomato-basil soup. The sunflowers took quite a beating in the wind at the time of the wildfire so they are at their end as well but we did get to enjoy them in their glory for a while.

These colorful sunflowers had pretty flimsy stems but they hung in there just the same. I just had to bring some of these into the house.
